Sometimes you never see one & then 3 come along at once! This certainly was the night of the ukulele.

The first was played by Chrissy who was accompanying her sister Beth Johnstone, then later there was another uke with Dave & Ali from Beartown Zodiac. Both these duo’s were¬† new comers to the club, & gave us lovely sets. Finally we heard the tenor ukulele from the great Ninebarrow, fresh from their Larmer Tree competition win. Ninebarrow also treated us to the first outing of their very new song ‘Knightwood Oak’.

We also enjoyed sets from the pumped up Terry McDonald (you needed to be there!), husky Don Miller (luckly his voice held out), & the super Lucy Kitchen, who gave us a taste of her self-penned songs. Polly Morris finished the evening, putting smiles on our faces with memories of naughty thoughts, & other comedic songs. How exciting to have our own Fiveways song – ‘Harmonies in the Walls’. This is Polly’s first folk song, & very special for us.
