27th November 2013

Yet again our visiting musicians delivered a super evening on Wednesday, playng to a full house. There was only time for Derek Burgess & Kitty Vernon to do one song, before introducing Vic Salt, from Salisbury. Then we moved on to regular Terry McDonald who was perfrorming with Mavis Eastwell – great voice Mavis, hope you’ll be back again soon.
Kevin Thomas then had us singing along to various well loved songs.
The first half was finished by Andrew Foster, another first time visitor. A great singer/songwriter from Portsmouth, we all really enjoyed his set. He’ll be back again on 26th June to do a well deserved headline spot.
Popular local Les Wild, started the second half with more songs we could join in with …. we do like singing at Fiveways! He was followed by Paul Openshaw, who is always guaranteed to make us smile with his quirky songs.
Headliner Nigel Waite, brought the evening to a resounding close, with songs old & new, both self penned & covers. Some to join in with & some just to listen & enjoy.
Another enjoyable evening for us all. Many thanks to all who took part.
