Tonight gave us another very varied mixture of performers. Firstly Kitty Vernon and Derek Burgess singing acappella, and in harmony, then Terry McDonald, whose set included the elegiac “Summer before the War” by Huw Williams. We welcomed back Bob Carter for a polished instrumental guitar feature set to complete the first half.
The second half began with 3 songs from Ruth Faulkner. We were then treated to a set including some old favourites from Don Miller, followed by Paul Openshaw who was in fine form, as usual singing songs of his own composition, before another feature act, Alex and Nick from Fearne, topped off the evening with some well-chosen and thought-provoking material of their own.
